UNI American Red Cross Blood Drive and Other Events

Thank you again to everyone who participated in the Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser last week where 10% of every Wishmaker’s purchase went to our fundraising efforts to grant a wish. Getting our name out there and participating in events around the area are a great way to spread the great things that we are able to do through this organization, so thank you!

On a similar note, thank you to everyone who participated in the 2013 Walk For Wishes event where $20,000 was raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s efforts in granting so many deserving children’s wishes. It’s truly spectacular to think we have the potential and ability to make these children the happiest kids in the world and truly change their lives. Every person, every event, and every idea and word spread about this organization (and others like us) are what pave the groundwork for better future’s for these kids and the human race in general. Keep on spreading the love and being the awesome people that you all are!

Here’s a link to a quick video that gives you a quick little snippet of what a Walk For Wishes event looks like!

Don’t forget our all-committee meeting this Wednesday at 6 p.m at the Presidential Room in Mauker Union. Remember to invite plenty of friends! We can never have too many people involved for this awesome cause!

Lastly, we learned about a a wish that is being granted this month in Texas to a little boy named Carter Headlock. More information and a video about Carter can be found in the link below. Carter suffers from Leukemia and was given the chance of a lifetime, when he got to drive a replica Lightning McQueen, from the popular children’s movie Cars (Carter’s favorite fictional character) as he awaits his Disney Cruise later this month. Our thoughts are with you Carter!

Have a spectacular week folks!
